Hello all, somehow when I creating a cylinder I’ve done something and cannot get back to sculpting I’m just stuck with creating cubes. I have looked around the interface for layers or something to indicate that my mesh is not selected but nothing. Also google has nothing for me, it seems I either don’t know the terminology to correctly google my problem or there simply are no solutions.
Thanks for any help
It’s more than likely because you turned “Edit” off by pressing the “T” key which will put you in 2.5D mode.
To fix it…
- Press “Ctrl+N” to clear the canvas.
- Go to the Tool palette and click on the large Tool icon (Big orange S on the right of your screen shot) and select the Tool you were working on. It will probably be in the “Quick Pick” palette.
- Draw that on the canvas then turn on Edit mode (T).
“Edit” mode has to be on to work in 3D mode.
What do you mean by tool? My mesh?
I cannot find the tool I was using the quick pick or anywhere else in that dialog.
Are you saying that I should be able to see my mesh here somewhere?
Did you save the Tool (Tool > Save As) or the project (File > Save As)? Do you have the right file open? The reason you were drawing all those squares is because Edit was turned off and you were using a 2.5D brush in the Tool palette.
Here, try this, when you first drag out the “Tool” to form your shape (That’s ZBrush lingo for primitive/mesh object) do not touch it, instead, hit the edit button, then “X” for symmetry and you are good to go. I hope this helps!
It is odd to me that zbrush calls mesh, tools.
thanks for the help, now how to mark as solved.
