Cannot export textured model for 3d print figurines

Hello guys, sorry if there is a related topic but i couldn’ find one.
I’m trying to export a UV Mapped model to .PLY but when i import it in the slicer there is no texture.
I export a UV Mapped model to .PLY, then I import it in the slicer but I’m not getting the texture
(the slicer is 3D Print by 3d systems for color sandstone printing).
I have tried importing the model as a .WRL file and then I have the texture but not in the right place. It seems to be flipped or rotated even if it was correct during the export.
Then I made Displacement and Normal Map, but still nothing (truth is that i’m not very familiar with these two processes).
The only way to have a nice colored and clear .PLY in the slicer is by ‘Polypaint from Texture’ but on a high subdivision level.
For example at 20m polys or else i get a blurry result. And of course I need a lower poly mesh, 300k-1m max.
So what I’m trying to achieve is to export to .PLY or .WRL a low poly mesh with a high detailed texture linked on it.

Sorry for the long post and thank you in advance!

If you’re using the PLY format plugin I wrote it doesn’t support UVs. You’ll have to use a different file format.

Hello Marcus, thank you for your reply.
Am I forgetting something when I export to WRL? Because the texture doesn’t get applied correctly.
