HI,
I have couple of suggestions for tools and functionalities in ZBrush but I don’t feel like posting them in this Support thread. This thread is filled with tons of user questions about Zbrush bugs or questions about how present tools work. We need a dedicated forum where the heavy professional users of Zbrush can make suggestions about new tools and functionalities to be added in Zbrush to help work in production environments.
Can we have a new Forum called Suggestions for Future Tools and Functionalities in Zbrush? Also adding some sort of voting mode for all this new ideas would be great, something like Autodesk has in their New Ideas webpage. https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/maya-ideas/idb-p/968/tab/popular
I feel it would be great if Pixologic would listen to it’s user base more often when is creating new versions of Zbrush. Sometimes as a professional user i feel that you guys build things which are totally unnecessary or not so important and totally neglect core features Zbrush would need in a professional production environment.
Cheers!
Hello @OvidiusTiberius
That’s alright! The procedure for submitting suggestions is to submit them via Support ticket–one per feature.
This gets your idea directly to the developers, rather than in a forum where they’re prone to be argued about by other users, and where they risk being missed by people who make the development decisions for Zbrush.
Everyone has differing opinions about which features are “necessary” in Zbrush, because ZBrush is used in many different types of production workflows. Someone working for digital render may not think 3d Print hub is very important, but people working for print would find it essential. No one production workflow represents all the different types of output Zbrush supports, no matter how much of a “heavy professional” one is.
Likewise, everyone has their own idea about what features should be in Zbrush, but there are many reasons why a certain feature may or may not be present. It has nothing to do with how much they “listen” to any single user, or subset of users.
