Can you Autofill a mask in a cavity?

I was wondering if there is a way to autofill or autofit a mask in an area on one of my sub tools. I wish to mask off the “whites” area of the Eye. I am currently having to mask it by hand, which is a pain. my hand is not steady enough to keep the mask tight and clean. Is there a way to have Zbrush mask that tighter and keep the mask within a set area of parameters? If Not is there a Macro out there or a script that someone has written for this? If not, Do you guys or gals have any sugestions for me?I am masking so I can add a skin texture to the fleshy side, and shiny whites to the white side.Thank you for any tips or help!

There are probably better solutions for this but have you tried turning on lazy mouse and increasing the lazy radius?

  1. You could roughly fill the white, it’s okay if the mask goes over the eyelid
  2. turn on lazy mouse with high radius
  3. Hold ctrl + alt (to remove mask) and draw with lazy mouse over the eyelid edges, removing all of the mask that went out of the “eyewhite” area.

If you then want to store that area so you can easily mask it off later:

  1. Invert the mask through the Masking tab if needed and then in the Visibility tab, hide the masked area, make the rest a Polygroup.

You can try the Mahmask Bias custom masking brush by Mahlikus The Black.

The above link no longer works…see below.

NOTE: Sadly, Mahlikus the Black has passed away but you can still get his brushes on the tribute page.

Thanks guys! I will give both these options a try when i wake up some more!
