Is it possible for transpose master to use an existing zsphere rig for when posing the transpose mesh ? Each time I wish to repose, it redraws a new zsphere again, I want to maybe have a defined zpshere rig that it could use
I shoud clarify, the first time I ran transpose master it picked up a zsphere rig i had made, which is great, but once i transfer to subtools, it deletes the zsphere pose rig ?
There is no need to keep pressing the TPoseMesh button each time you want to create a new pose. The rig is still there in the Tool palette but it is in adaptive skin preview so might not be immediately apparent which tool it is. All you need to do is select it in the Tool palette, press ‘A’ to come out of preview mode and then continue posing. If you want to clear the pose without losing the rig then unpress and then press the Tool>Rigging>Bind button. (There’s an update to TM for ZBrush 4R3 available from the Download Centre which names the TM ZSphere rig ‘ZRig_…’ to make it easier to identify.)
You can always copy the actual zsphere arrangement using the ‘Store TM Rig’ and ‘Paste TM Rig’ buttons. For example, you could save out a rig, separate from TM, like this:
- After pressing the TPoseMesh button (with ZSphere Rig on) create your rig.
- Press the Store TM Rig button.
- Select the ZSphere tool in the Tool palette.
- Press the Paste TM Rig button. This creates a ZSphere model based on your rig arrangement. You can save this as a ZTool by pressing Tool>Save As.
To load a rig from elsewhere into a new TM mesh:
- Press Tool>Load Tool and load a zsphere model you wish to use as a rig (such as one saved as above).
- Press the Store TM Rig button.
- Select the model you wish to pose and press the TPoseMesh button (with ZSphere Rig on) to create a new posing mesh for ZSphere rigging.
- Press the Paste TM Rig button.
HTH,
Thanks for the help!
Still getting problems, sorry. Using Mac Lion with ZB4R3
I used the demo soldier as a test, here’s my workflow
- Load in demo soldier
- choose [T Pose Mesh] with [z sphere rig]
- Creates unified model and starting z sphere
- I can create z sphere rig or paste existing rig if I had copied it previously as you describe , this works
- Choose bind mesh
- Pose model
- Hit [T Pose > Sub T ]
I now get the sub tools posed correctly, I also store a copy of the z sphere rig with adaptive off in that pose if I wish to use it from that pose next time.
-But if I then want to continue pose again with the sphere rig in the last pose I used, I choose [T pose Mesh] with [zsphere rig] selected, but it errors with IN:[IPress, Tool:ZSphere], and doesn’t draw an initial sphere for me to copy a rig onto.
BTW Also noticed, if I reset tools and redraw a fresh demo soldier, the plugin also errors with :
Get this error : IN:[IPress, Tool:ZSphere]
and sometimes get an error saying
TAMPLATE ERROR
Forget my last post, sorry! I get it now
I was hitting [T pose Mesh] each time to do a new pose, rather than just the once, all works great now !
this is such a powerful plugin, would there be a way to modify it to allow for higher sDiv levels rather than just lvl1 ? i.e. create the unified mesh from current sub tool subdivision levels, or highest etc
