Can someone help me to chose a new graphic card for Zbrush please?

After two years I can at last to enhance my computer with a new graphic card, hopefully with one that gives me the best performance while using 3D programs like Zbrush or Maya. But, I don’t know what to buy since I’m not a hardware expert, and that’s why I’m asking for the help of whoever can spare some minutes to point me to a right choice :o

Ok, here are the specs of my current computer (with its Windows):
:b4:Windows XP Professional (32bits)
:b4:Intel® Core™2 Duo CPU E4600 @ 2.40GHz (2 CPUs)
:b4:3328MB RAM (Dual)
:b4:My motherboard

And my current graphic card:
:b4:Radeon HD 2350/2400 Series (Omega 3.8.442)

I think this is enough data as for my hardware specs and my Windows are (by now, not interested into updating my Windows to 7 or to a 64bits version). I’m asking for a graphic card which isn’t too expensive (hopefully below the 100€ gap) because I have a rent to pay this month :stuck_out_tongue: I can stretch the amount to 110€ but I fear I can’t beyond that :frowning:

Thanks for reading.

i would just buy a better cpu and at least 8 gig ram, a new gpu wont make your zbrush run faster ;/ Or better yet just go for more ram and move to a 64bit os

When I have questions like yours I go to http://www.pcper.com/. I especially look into the hw leaderboard, and i can usually figure out my next hardware buy. Hope that helps.

I suppose in a couple more of years I’ll be able to afford a better CPU and a 64bits OS. Meanwhile, I need to stick to what I currently own.

Thanks for the input anyway  I ended purchashing this one by a suggestion of a zbrusher friend:
ASUS 9600GT 1GB GDDR3 256BIT PCIE 2.0

It is working wonders at the hour of storing polygons in memory as I was told. Got it for just 95€ I think I was lucky

damn i schould have mady myself clearer, zbrush dosnt ue gpu acceleration, you can run it as fast with the old gpu as witch the new one, so its pointless to try to sepeed zbrush this way ;] But i hope the new gf will serve you well ;D
