Can nanomesh be exported as OBJ while keeping instances?

I’m new to using Zbrush with only a couple of months of use under my belt, but I’ve ran into an issue with the Nanomesh tool. I’ve used it to place a cladding on something and when I try to export it I get the object underneath, but all of the parts I’d attached with nanomesh don’t export. Is there something I’m missing or does this tool not work outside of zbrush itself?

Thank you

to export the nanomesh you need to go to the geometry tab and click convert bpr to geo. (the same is true for fibermesh and micro mesh - there are other things with fibermesh if you’re going to go to maya or somet such and need the curves but that’s neither here nor there)

Thank you, I’ll try this as soon as I get back to my computer. I’m just exporting the object and nanomesh to look at some test renders. I’ll just be sending it to keyshot, but I don’t have the bridge, and don’t really want to buy it if I can just export the geometry.

the bridge sends allows you to not “bake” down micro, nano, fiber meshes …
