  1. After you have drawn out the curve (line), you can let go of Ctrl+Shift then hold down Spacebar to move the whole line then let go of Spacebar to change the angle again.

  2. He didn’t really make a duplicate that will be editable in 3D. All he did was Snapshot (Shift+S) to the canvas then moved the original one by holding down Alt while moving.
