I sculpted my model, but it dose not have any UV coordinates. i forgot i did them on another model. so when my sculpted model is on sub division level 1 it is the same as my UV’d model. is there anyway i can import on to my sculpted model?
If the low poly non-UV’ed version of the model you used has the same number of points as the UV’ed version, you should be able to import the model that has UV’s at level 1 into ZB without ruining your other subdivided/edited levels. If that doesn’t work (it will tell you) you may have to use ZB to create new UV’s, but then you’ll have to export and use that mesh instead if you want to do any work outside of ZB.
so zed, your saying there is a way to get my low res model into zbrush with the proper uvs…and get the detail of my high res model that is already sculpted in zbrush to get the good uvs off my other model? if so i dont have a clue on how to do it…
All you need to do is go to level one on your ZBrush model, click Tool>Import, and load your UV’d version. It will replace the current level one, complete with the mapping, and will also be ready for you to make the difference map(s).
Yeah, what Aurick said.
