Can anybody tell me how to send a private message?
At the upper right corner of the screen, click your icon. You’ll then see an icon for Messages at the top of the pop-up. That’s where to go to do it.
Or you can search for the user name. When you click on it you’ll see an option to message the person.

I did find the place where I can see the messages I got but I could not find any icon to send messages. This is true even when I click the user name.
When you click a user’s icon (not name) there will be a small pop-up that has the Message option – unless they have disabled messages.
Everybody I look is like below. Maybe everyone has disabled messages.

I see that you just joined 13 hours ago. That explains things.
ZBC does not allow you to send private messages until you’ve achieved a certain trust level. It’s a precaution against spammers.
