"camera" rotation

currently, there is no key that needs to be pressed to rotate the “camera”…

…so, in order to rotate you have to make sure your cursor is not over any objects/meshes…then you press the left mouse button.

just wondering, does anybody have a plugin/script that would allow the “camera” rotation to only work if you hold down a key first? (kinda like in maya, to rotate you hold down the alt key…same for mudbox)

this would kick some serious butt.

thanks.

That’s not possible with zscripting.

I was thinking the same thing and have not been able to find an answer online.
I would also like to have “camera” controls like Maya. I know that ZBrush doesn’t move the camera, and instead rotates, and scales the model, but why can’t we change the button controls for these options.

I would really like my mouse scroll button to increase/decrease the model size (zoom in/out as in Maya).

I tried the hotkey editor plugin without success.
