Probably but with this sort of problem it would help if you posted a small image to show your problem.
You might try: draw your model on the canvas then hit the Rotate button to bring up the Gyro in rotate mode. Then click and drag downwards outside the gyro. This will bring your model forward of the clipping plane. You can use the same technique with the Move gyro.
Hi There,
Here are jpegs showing the top and bottom views…I tried placing the object in rotate view and clicking and dragging outside of object, but no luck…any advice is greatly appreciated
The following will make the polygons visible from both sides.
You should try toggling the “Double” switch in the Tool menu under Display Properties.
It may be that the normals are flipped when you’re importing from Maya, use the Tool.Display Properties.Flip switch if this is the case
Hope that helps.
Edit: removed suggestion that surface normals could be flipped on import via a preferences option.
OK, I think that if (with your object in Edit or Transform mode) you press the Tool>Display Properties>Double button things should be all right.
EDIT: Beaten to it!
I win
Ok…will try it now
You guys rock!
