Anyone have word on when the tools will get compiled for Maya 6.0

Bryon is a friend of mine. He won’t be able to do that without Maya6 and, I’m not sure, it aint available in germany yet.
But better ask himself.

Can you ask him to use a cross-platform installer so Mac users can use it too?

BPT is now available for the latest maya versions, on windows and linux at least. Please have a look at the download page:

Thanks byron, but i can’t get any version to work on maya 2008x64. With the 64 version it says its compiled for a newer api, and with 32 bit : it simply says error.

Please install the latest maya service pack, then it will work. You can obtain these directly on the autodesk site:

I bought this plugin years ago so it will be interesting to see if it’s still useful.

It’s working now.

But the smartSplit with “-relative” argument output that; “// Error: ONE mesh or its transform node must be selected.”
No matter what mesh i select. And without this option the split on vertices/faces are not following the other edges its weird

i got this error after install Byron’s Poly Tools v1.0 RV for maya 2009 64bit version i don’t know if i’m doing something wrong plz byron drop me some line about it.

Without giving an error message, its hard to say what’s wrong, but I assume you are missing some dll files.
These can be installed using the redistributable packages here,
http://old.byronimo.de/download/bpt1.0rv/win_redist/

in your case it would be the 64 bit version.

i did this step to install the plug in

  1. extract the “BPT” folder C:\Users\Dukowsky\BPT
    .2 copy the BPT.module to C:\Users\Dukowsky\Documents\maya\2009-x64\modules
  2. open the BPT.module with notepad and “+ BPT 1.0 C:\Users\Dukowsky\BPT” then saved

4.open maya at first log in at maya the plug in worth fine but then after shut up maya and log again i got this error

mental ray for Maya 10.0
mental ray: version 3.7.1.26, Jul 30 2008, revision 26576
