After a HUGE amout of thinking and judging, I’ve decided to build my own computer rather than buy one from a retail store.

My questions are:

a) Where should I get my parts from? (online, from a wholesaler, directly from the company, or through retail / redistributor stores?)

b) Where can I find a reliable walkthrough (whether it be a book, movie, or online tutorial) on setting up a computer from scratch?

Also, if you have any other information, warnings, or advice, I would greatly appreciate it.

The only BG info I can give you at the moment is that the computer would be used mainly for 2D/3D graphics development, as well as the occasional gane or two:o .

Depends on where you live… if you are from the netherlands check out the price watch on www.tweakers.net…

Also before you decide to buy a part, do a google on the part togheter with review… and so you can compare it, and see if it has the performance you need.

And i would go for AMD processor :cool:
