BUG: Lasso select stops working in 4R5

Hi,

It seems there’s a bug with the lasso selection. When you try to select some polys with the lasso, at some point the selection just stops and doesn’t go any further.

I enclosed a screenshot. Try to make a lasso selection around the outlined area (or some similar shape). The key is to drag your mouse SLOWLY!!! Don’t rush it.

  1. In the attached image, I held down Ctrl+Shift and started at point A going towards the direction of the arrow.
  2. I used my mouse as opposed to the Wacom pen, and moved SLOWLY to complete the green path.
  3. As I reached somewhere along the red segment marked with B, all of a sudden the selection stopped and didn’t follow the mouse movement any more. I was still holding the left mouse button and moving the mouse, but the selection didn’t follow. It just completely stopped.

PS: The same issue happens when you do the same with the MaskLasso tool.

this is an old bug…zbrush 3.0 I believe.

I thought they fixed it in r4 but I guess I was wrong.

I confirm this issue with ZBrush 4R5. No workaround yet… We will do our best to fix it soon.
