Bug 4R7 x64 with Sculpt HD on Mac

I used normal modeling (not HD) for a character, then went into Sculpt HD for the mouth, then disabled Sculpt HD to work on other parts of the face, then I re-enabled Scrulpt HD for the eyes : the mouth got all messed up. I don’t know yet whether this is permanent on my model or just a display artifact. I tried to load the mesh in the 32 bits version and I got the same area messed up but in a different way…

If I try to go to Sculpt HD again, ZBrush crashes… I think my model is dead, many hours wasted. Any idea how I can recover from this mess?

is there at least a way to remove the HD data so I will not loose everything done so far? I can re-sculpt HD this won’t take me too much time.

If you use the Tool>Clone button to copy your mesh then it’s copied without the HD Geometry.

Thanks Marcus, I cloned the model then created a new document and put the cloned model in there. I re-enabled sculpt HD and see result below, still buggy. This is interesting though as it seems the bug may be in the model itself, not even in the HD information. Or the sculpt HD tool is just buggy on R7…

I had high hopes when I saw “HD sculpting updated to work correctly with 64-bit versions” in 4R7 patch 2 release notes, but once I loaded by model above and went into HD mode, I had the exact same bug ! Looks like there is still work on this to be made by developers…
