Hi,
I downloaded the Zbrush trial and I’m still testing it.
About the sculpting brushes, one feature which is really handy is “preserve edges”, a feature you can tweak by a slider in the “Samples” submenu of the Brush palette. As I can’t afford buying Zbrush at the moment, I’m considering buying Zbrush Core as a first step.
I looked at tutorials about Zbrush Core interface and found out that the “samples” submenu is not in the brush palette (only Modifiers and Automasking). So my question is: does brushes like Trim Dynamic and Hpolish preserve edges in zbrush core or is this feature simply disabled? And if they preserve edges, what are the values of this parameter for each brush?
For example, in Zbrush, the default value for “preserve edges” is about 30 for Hpolish. In Zbrush Core, does this brush preserve edges at this value without any possibility to modify it or is this feature purely and simply not implemented in Core?

I would think it most likely that the feature is implemented with the default setting but I don’t know for certain. No modification is possible. You’d best submit a ticket toPixologic Support and ask them.
Thanks for your answer. Maybe i’ll have to submit a ticket to know this for sure but i’m a little surprised that such a basic info can’t be given on a zbrush core users forum. Maybe someone else could tell me ?
By the way, i think it could probably be said in the zbrush core features page, in comparison to zbrush features.
