Brush size sensitivity

Is their a way to tone down the amount zbrush sizes the brush when dragging the slider? I spend to much time trying to get the brush size I want because I have to be so careful with the slider.

Hello @jimmylegs ,

The increments for the brush size hotkeys can be set as low as 1 in ZPlugin> Misc> Brush Increment. You could use these as fine tuning keys.

In addition, the behavior of the S key draw size slider is customizable. If you go to Preferences> Interface> Click, and enable “Use Sticky Keys” , and set the Sticky Keys activation timer to a minimal value, you can adjust the slider by simply moving back and forth and then releasing, as opposed to having to exert pressure and drag. You may find it easier to get the value you want if you dont have to press down.

The slider can also be constrained to integers by holding down Shift when moving the slider.

Finally, your UI may be too small for comfort, which would also make the slider smaller and more sensitive to movement. You can adjust the size of your UI up or down in Preference> Interface> UI > Button Size. A slightly larger UI may be more comfortable for you.

Good luck!

Thanks the sticky keys is really fast and works better. For some reason the old method would get stuck open and sometimes would not be under my cursor and be hidden under my PureRef window. Plus I forgot about the bracket keys I think I am set.

Don’t forget to store your preferences (Shift+Ctrl+i) if you turn on sticky keys.
