Brush Size Dilemma

Hopefully someone can shed some light on this:

Im taking a mesh from Maya into zBrush, like i’ve done many times before- but this time it seems as though zbrush thinks my object is too small. The Brush, even at draw size 1, is about the size of my woman’s nipple.
Ive tried resizing the model in maya to no avail.
Any thoughts?

EDIT:
Sorry guys… didnt realize i was in the main forum

How big is your model in Maya? You using feet, inches?

Hey, this might sound stupid, but have you tried zooming in on your model in zbrush? Try holding alt, clicking off the side of your model, then dragging your mouse/pen whilst releasing alt. My apologies if you have already tried this.

Then you will only have to use drag-dot twice and the job will be done!

nice one pride…

Im using centimeters and have tried everywhere between 1/4 grid, to 5 grids large- I have come to the conclusion that zbrush doesnt care about this because it doesnt effect the brush size at all.

Oh, and yes- i did try zooming  (no apologies needed, god knows with my burnt out state of mind I may have forgotten that one)

hmm, not sure if Im right but what about tool/deformation/size (xyz) ? Might have misunderstood something though.

I see this is an old thread but I ran into the same problem recently. And after some fiddling around I found that if I turn off “Dynamic” on Draw Size, the cursor can become as small as a single vertex. Hope this will help the next one who runs into this problem.

thanks perna, this helped!!! can’t believe these posts still help in 2014, so glad now that they keep these threads around

Turning off dynamic helped me too, very useful, thank you guys!!!:D;)

2015… and the “Dynamic” option is not helping me this time LOL im working in a 70 cm model, and the brush size 1000 is soooo tiny… makes no sense at all…

Under Preferences/Draw, change your Max Brush Size to a larger value, and also increase the Dynamic Brush Scale.
