Brush Size Changes mysteriously

Hi,
I’m finding that the brush size changes when I move from one side of a sculpt to the other.
The Draw size stays the same but the brush cursor and its area of effect changes. Please see image:

I’m not sculpting in symmetry. I’m not moving further from the sculpt and being effected by ‘Dynamic’. I’m just sculpting either side of a pivot and when I pivot from one side to the other the cursor size almost doubles and I have to adjust it to get the same result.
I’m using the most recent update on a Mac.
I see someone asked the same question 13 years ago and there was no answer.
Anyone know what’s going on or whether I’m just doing something stupid?

Hi @RonH

In a copy of the file, please use Tool> Deformation> Unify on the mesh and see if that resolves the issue. If it does, the problem was likely to do a mesh that was over-large, off-center, or had extreme offset from center.

If that does not account for your problem, please contact ZBrush Support and provide the file for examination.

I was overly large and off center.
Unifying it worked.
