Either right clicking clay or the Space bar bring up the big standard Brush Palette full of sliders when I’m using a brush or am using the Shift key to enter the smoothing brush, but with my Control key held for masking brush mode instead pops up the unrelated Clip Brush Modifiers palette with three buttons on it. A workaround is to first pop up the Brush Palette before using Control to access the masking brush.
Is my installation screwed up somehow or is this a bizarre ZBrush 4R7 quirk? I simply expect normal behavior and this throws me off wondering if some default customization is wrong? I reset everything I could think of but haven’t reinstalled. The Clip Brush palette is only supposed to come up via Control-Space but the right click on clay is also invoking it. Ah, that’s the oddity. If I removed that hotkey, it might fix it since the right mouse button is issuing a Space key which indeed becomes Control-Space. Alas, this default hotkey seems hardwired and comes up even if I reassign Control-Space to Draw Size as an experiment, since then both come up on top of each other.
