Brock Samson (Bronze ver update nov 16)

So i have about 2 weeks to finish this model I’m doing for an assignment.

 I'm going for the feel of the first episode of venture bros where brock kills speedy while all shot up full of tranquilizer darts. Obviously im not going for the exact scene, but he's going to have lots of tranqs and a choking monarch henchman in his hands.

this is turning out great but I almost wanna see the forms be more cartoony and stylized…since it is a cartoon after all. or maybe even like the incredibles? course, this is just me being nitpicky:D sweet pose though!

You guys should definetely model him, I’m having alot of fun with him.

I was thinking of trying to make him cartoony and simple like the incredibles, but I wanted to add my own little style to him as well.

Im doing him for an illustration assignment that my professor left open. Im planning on coloring him and rendering him into a nice scene with a background, to make a nice final image. That and nice turnaround too.

the sculpt is picking up speed. Starting to get into the fine detail on some parts. Sadly making the mouth opened is looking to be a bit more difficult than i thought at first. I’m sure i’ll be able to figure it out if i have enough time in the end.

Seems like he is wearing a shirt. But he isn’t. I think you need to add more excessive muscle wrinkling on his torso to match the arms.

But its looking great. very expressive. Which is awesome.

He actually is going to be wearing a shirt in the final. Im going to model the edge of the sleeves where his deltoids end and also add a collar. I’ve just left it for last because im not sure if i want to model it through masking, or extracting a thin sleeve edge as a subtool or just pulling it out with a brush. also gonna add some light cloth texture and material to make it more obvious.

Little update on the Brock sculpt. I had to turn in something today, So I threw on Kraken’s antique bronze matcap and created a henchman stand/plaque memorial thing.

I still plan on polypainting it, making a lighting set up and rendering and compositing him into a scene. Atleast now I can do it on my own time. []

Also, big thank to Krakens amazine bronze matcap. I can’t thank him enough.
