Bounty Hunter next-gen game model

Hey all, just finishing up my last sculpt for my demo reel so thought I’d post some pics. First model using ZB3 as i was using a mac before. Wow what a difference the new version and a new fast computer makes. Ten times more user friendly. I don’t feel like i’m fighting the program to get it to do what i wanted like i sometimes used to. Favorite new features would definately be retop, poly painting, transpose, and my favorite brush Flatten. Thanks for making such a great product Pixologic!!

Here is my quick concept drawing for him. btw, the boots are like rocket boots hence the big fins on the backside.

Good work, it looks as if you are staying really close to your concept piece. It is not that often that you see a design stay very close to the original art.

some advice:

  1. Try looking at some Anatomy reference
  2. Check your proportions (head scale in relation to body)
  3. Don’t be afraid to start over if things aren’t going well
  4. Look at some of the other posts in this forum and try to match deatil and quality. There are some great people to learn from on this site.

Another big piece of advice.

Try to sculpt alot of different models. Try spending a day doing some speed sculpting limiting yourself to 1 hour per sculpt. Repetition is the key to imporvement.
