Bounding box generated by bend curve go out of shape

Hello there! Sometimes when I use bend curve, the shape bounding box thing does not align with object geometry. I wonder what is causing that and how can I fix it?

Here is a picture to illustrate what is happening:

Many thanks everyone!

The bounding box aligns with the Gizmo coordinates rather than the global coordinate system. From the image it looks like you clicked the Gizmo on the flat polygon at the base of the spire. I assume you want to align along the spire to bend it alone. So set your Gizmo in the direction you want first. For example, hold ALT, click on the spire and drag to align the Gizmo in that direction. Holding ALT is a shortcut for checking the lock icon so you can move the Gizmo without moving the subtool. Move, rotate along the Gizmo axes and/or the camera view to get the Gizmo aligned how you want and then activate Bend Curve. Gizmo alignment will snap to verts as well so you could align the gizmo by clicking on a vertex at the spire base and dragging to the very next vertex.

hth. Have fun.
