Botany with Z-Brush

Greetings,

This is my latest experiment with Z-brush.

I made the cannabis leaf tool with an image
I snagged from www. and turned it into an alpha and then creating a 3-D and did some flattening on both sides.

I placed the stem on one layer and populated the stem from another layer with
my leaf tool using a spray stroke.

I created another layer for the hairs on another layer using the fiber brush.

Now my ‘burning’ question is can I create
native Z-tool that has a flat geometry like the plane and cicle tool. The reason I’m asking this question is that I had a tough time creating the leaf shape with the tools
that have the flat geometry and had to resort to the alpha/make 3-D method creating a leaf that had a lot of polys.

Comments and suggestions welcome as always.

Greetings,

Here’s another in my series of Botany with
Z-Brush.

There is a lot of work in those. Well done.

I like the second one best.

Paul.

Ps Just change the regulatings !

Greetings,

I made a new leaf tool with AM 2002 and imported into Z-Brush. The tool is lot more light weight since it is an object.

Okay,

I created a stem and multimarked the base leafs and created a polymesh.

Comments welcome!

Congratulations, I like your series of Botany . Im sending this “ecologic planet” …
Always 121 Welcome

Thanks Pilou, it could be. I remember your tut because when I saw your tutorial the image in the upper right corner looks to me like a bacteria Helicobacter Pilori and i was doing exercise with it.

Frenchy, the image below is someone that I use in my class.
