hey guys this is my WIP on a bust of Blanka from Street fighter, for Ryan Kinglslien’s class at Gnomon. Any comments and crits would be appreciated. I’m going to start work on the hair tomorrow, as Blanka has some crazy ass hair!

looks good so far.though I can’t feel this is Blanka,of course because you have not make the hair and texture

this is coming along good. Of course when you add the hair and get the textures right it will look more like him. The only thing that is really bugging me is his mouth. The first picture with him looking straight, his mouth sucks inwards, I don’t know if it is just me or the view. Coming along good though.
so far your form is looking pretty good. Some things I can point out is that his mouth is super square! Pull the corners of his mouth back. keep working on your forms. You should get the likeness as close as you can then work on the hair. The hair will distract you and you might not pin point on why it doesn’t look quite right later. I’m hoping you have a lot of reference. Thats the only way to scrape up true likeness. Keep going man! I’m a die hard street fighter fan and I wanna see more characters fleshed out!
