Weird problem.
Since the upgrade I have noticed something funny about the blank
screen that exists before creating a document.
Mine is a gradient.
I have changed the color of the document to red to show the
problem.
Any suggestions?
No other program shows this, and z2 does not.

ZBrush 3 was set up this way. We all have the gradient, but you can get rid of it if you do not like it. In the Document menu, there are 3 sliders (range, center, rate) that can be adjusted to get rid of the gradient. To permanently get rid of it, you must save your configuration (CustomUI) in the Preferences menu after setting the sliders.

I at one point figured this out years ago and I just had to reinstall Zbrush. Now I can’t get it to stick (the non gradient). I set the rate to 0 and a black background. I have tried saving the preferences/store config and save ui but neither one works. Is there any other way to make it stick without reverting back to the gradient every time I open Zbrush?
