consider this piece finished, but there are still areas that could be further improved — such as the shape of pores in compressed areas, the blending between the eyes and the surrounding skin, and other subtle details.
The entire project took me around one month to complete. Compared to the main forms, much more time was spent on noise and blending. Achieving a strong, striking effect is relatively easy, but making something feel subtle and truly realistic always requires a great deal of time and careful refinement.
The sculpture and all textures were created entirely by hand in ZBrush, without using any Texturing XYZ maps. Hair was created using XGen in Maya, and Arnold rendering.
This method allows everything to be fully customizable and completely controllable — down to even a single pore.
