Hi yall long time sine i posted somthing, iv been doing a games design degree and it only! took 4 years of frikin hard work but i passed with a 2.1 from uclan, thats preston uni uk…iv just been working on some stuff to update my folio and i thought i post it…its my ver of big daddy from land of the dead…this is just the model, i plan to do a another render of him in the water. im just working on the textures now. anyway heres the first post. hope you can see him in there.
Here is a mental render of my big daddy zombie in 3dsamx to all who remember the film. just 2 lights in the scene. one behind and one to the left. using the sss skin shader. i feel it still needs a lot more work and my take it from this in a new direction. an give him a more deathly rotten look…thanks for any crits

Looking like a good start! One crit would be the difference in your skin detailing; saturated in some places, and then left smooth in others.
Sort out some fine detailing in those smoothed area, but also think about keeping/ using the most sumptuous details to where you want to lead the viewer’s eye.
Definitely gore it up! I found, when I did my zombie head, that a mixture of paper-dry skin and oozing patches works really well at suggesting death…

Thanks for the input pal that realy helps getting a little feedback I can see the problem areas its just the execution of it. i never get any happy accidents in 3d and iv been playing with this stuff for over 10 years. you would think id be a master by now hey?? like being a doc always practising
