Best waay to prepare a mesh for scultpris pro

Hi

Would anybody be able to help. I have a low poly mesh that I would like to prepare for adding detail in zbrush. Currently im getting it to a high amount of polys and then just smoothing the whole mesh with Sculptress pro turned on to make it accept detail more evenly - but this never quite gives me a perfect reasult. If I carve details in it will often appear jaggy and inconsistent :(. Is there a better way I should be doing this? thanks for any help you can give

I think part of my problem is that im not quite sure how to control the way lazy mouse effects the decimation.

eg. If I draw a line really slowly across the mesh, sculptris pro will add a nice amount of polys and give a nice result. If I draw really quickly, or use the ‘drag+shift’ to get a straight line - it produces far less polys!. Im not sure how to change this - ive played with the lazy step slider but nothing seems to help :frowning: . Would anybody know where I might be doing wrong?
