I’ve had quite journey on this. I’ve also turned into a zombie due to lack of sleep, which I guess is quite fitting.

I actually nearly missed the deadline. For some reason when I set my clock to Pacific time it was telling me I still had an hour. It’s only through sheer luck that I happened to send a copy at what I thought was an hour before. After the horror of realising that in fact it wasn’t 11 but was actually 12 I had to quickly look to see what time I’d actually sent the mail. Turns out I sent it at a 11:57. I don’t know what I would have done if I missed that, serioulsy it would have been soul destroying.

I’m glad to hear you got your entry in…I checked all the threads after 12, and it looked like yours was one of those that did not make it. I was disappointed, but I’m glad I was mistaken.

As for the sleep-deprived-zombieism, I totally sympathize. I’ve slept so much since turning in my final. I didn’t realize how much sleep I’d been missing.

Hey Rick,

Good to hear from you. Love your piece for Halloween. I was a little worried that mine was a bit gruesome and controversial, so it was reassuring to see you didn’t have any reservations on placing a small child in a boiling pot :slight_smile:

Really enjoyed the competiition although I did start to suffer from sleep deprivation. I’ve got some more time on my hands now so I’d like to create something new every few weeks. It was good to see you giving everyone full support through the last few weeks. I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say it was greatly apprecited.

So many great WIPs. I got all the way through the Scared Silly entires-- my click finger aches but I really enjoyed studying everybody’s solutions!

Fizzy - I too checked the threads after closing and saw that you had seemed not to have posted a final entry. I knew how much effort you had put into it, so felt very happy for you when I saw that in fact you had made it.

Hey thanks Dondemaker. Yeah it was a real hard slog, it felt like a never ending tunel at some points. But I’m really glad I done it, going to make sure I enter a lot more of these, even if I do end up looking like a monster :slight_smile:
