I’m going to keep my eye on this one. You have a great start. I really like the emotion in the revised pose with the hands to the face.
I like what’s going on so far. His butt is floating. That might be something to tackle early on rather than later. Perhaps to make him look like he’s in a deal of suffering (I’ve watched the movie and read the books, Tetsuo goes through a great deal of pain due to the experiments) instead of having him sitting down, have his back pressed against the throne, hind quarters in the air with his body arched backward. Or of course you could have him sitting down. Just a thought, you do what you see in your head, sir!
Postscript - I do like the olympic motif on the chair. Nice added feature.

Jerick- Tetsuo totally had buttfloating abilities!..I’m surprised you missed that. Hee hee…yeah I fixed it. Using transpose master is awesome…but sometimes I ignore those lil details when I think I’m just going to change the pose some more in a few minutes. The pose you suggested, I actually started with but I didn’t really like that direction as much as him trying more to contain himself.
So I started working on the face a bit more in depth. I don’t want him to start looking too old (wrinkles in the face are fun to make), so I referenced a lot of kids faces to help avoid that…unfortunately they are crying kids faces- Go figure that I am now feeling totally bummed. Great reference…but I feel like a bad person for even typing “crying kid” into google. Blah…

Been pretty busy and ignoring this project…hopefully I’ll find time to finish this week.
I was wondering about this thread not too long ago and lo! Progress has been made! Looks good so far, keep going with it! I like the addition of Kaneda’s mashed up bike.

I like the dark mood, i’m not really sure if it’s a facepalm ( he failed at something and is realising how stupid it was ) or if he is in great pain/sorrow. But I liek it. Olympic Games rings at the top of the chair? And something that looks like a chopper. Quite a mix of stuff.

Is this a BPR+pp?
While the sculpt of the figure is certainly skillful, I’m not a big fan of the composition itself, or of the texture painting. But that’s a really, really well done figure!
Thanks for the comments guys. Yes, I used Zbrush’s BPR. Then the smoke and atmosphere elements were made in After Effects

I can see different camera angles, maybe with a tilted horizon and not framed from dead center but swung around the UP axis (y I think cause this is ZBrush)
Your camera is so far away from the subject, it’s hard for the viewer to appreciate your modeling. Fine modeling!
