Beijing Opera master Gai JaoTian(武生泰斗-盖叫天)

Hi Guys, I created this model for the TV program “National Album” last year. This man is Gai JaoTian,a respected opera master, and I am honored to have a statue for him.
Gai Jaotian(1888-1971), a master of Peking Opera, is known as the living Wu Song(Wu Song is the hero of the famous Chinese novel “Water Margin”).He had a legendary life. The emperor of China wanted to see him perform, but he refused, saying he only performed for the common people. He refused to perform Peking Opera for the invaders when they occupied his hometown. One of his legs was broken in an accident during a Peking Opera performance. He continued to perform until the end.

The cloth wrinkles look very natural, and the choice of material and lights/shadows accentuates the nature of the fabric which I assume might be silk although I may be mistaken. It does look extremely believable. Well done @zszs these sort of subtle details adds a lot to your image

Thank you for your kind words. You’re right, the clothes are made of silk.
I spent all my time capturing the expressions and gestures of the character.
