I still have Zbrush 4.0 Activated side by side with Zbrush 4R2b on my desktop PC. This latest update, 4R4, says I have to deactivate both before installing is this correct? Just want to make sure.
Yes, you should deactivate 4.0 or 4R2b before activating 4R4. Each version will count as a separate activation against the serial number. Only 4R3 and 4R4 calculate the machine ID in the same way, which was why it’s not necessary to deactivate 4R3 before activating 4R4.
Hello Aurick,
Just to be clear. I have a single license of Zbrush. If 4R4 is installed I can still use 4R3?
Thank you,
Ed
Yes.
I never got any email about R3 so I don’t even have that version! <sigh> Ok thanks!
You do not need any version installed to install 4R4. ZBrush 4R4 is a completely stand-alone installation.
