beast dude, nudity

just a model that has been sleeping on my hard drive since forever, i´ve been tweaking it on and off and at the end i´m just tired of it, so i´ve decided to post it so i won´t tweak it anymore…zbrush and 3dsmax+vray for rendering. comments and crits are welcome. Also the head of the guy was based on a sculpt by Jordu Schell, I just changed a couple of things like proportions a bit and the nose etc…im not that happy with the model and the detail should be pushed further but i want to model something else and i don´t have the motivation to keep working on this one anymore…

Since you are using Max + VRay are you also using displacement/normals or just higher division level export + normals?

Displacement still elludes me - Just when I get it to work on one model the same process falls flat on another model.

In search of any resources that would help me figure the displacement puzzle out:).

thanks for the comments, glad you guys like it, I will post some zb screenshots later today.As I said, i’m not that happy with it and I’d have liked to push the detail a bit further but i couldn’t bother to keep on this model, i wanna start something else.

ar-man, I used an old base mesh that I always use, very simple box mesh done in 3dsmax, and then i did the topology for the model once i was happy with the shapes.

hosch I will see if i can post how I did the displacement in vray, is quite easy, I used 4 diferent maps for this one, head, torso, legs and arms and I put them all in a vrayDisplacement modifier, and done…

boom!! Alex drops an atomic pure awesome bomb yet again! Absolutely stunning work. The subtlety in the skin makes me drool :slight_smile: Crit wise, the only thing i could even try to put forth is perhaps the vastus medialis of the thigh is maybe a bit too bumpy/lumpy…but that’s actually a small nit pick crit that could totally be ignored. Looking forward to more posts man!
