Barbarian (Animated Character Walkcycle)

Hey guys!

Here’s a walkcycle I whipped up the other day using one of my older Zbrush sculpts that I recently did a lot more work on.

Hey guys!

Here’s an update on that Barbarian Walkcycle I posted yesterday.

ConanWalk20040.jpg

I made the muscles jiggle according to impact, and am in the process of adding some more armor parts to him.

The next update will feature cloth, and hopefully I’ll get the fur on his boots to act according to his motions.

Crits would be appreciated!

he’s got a good lumbering style, but the jiggle appears to be on the knee and
would more likely be on the thigh…the hands feel too loose in the palm when
they arc…the jiggle on the man-boobs seems too loose as well.

overall, it’s getting there, but you can still push the sense of weight on impact
of each footfall…

keep going!

Thank you very much for the feedback! I’ll definitely make the adjustments in the next rendition!

It is much appreciated

I think this is pretty well done… you’ve given him a great bad-ass stride!

In the most recent update, you may have overdone the muscle jiggle a little, particularly in the chest and belly. Also, his waggly fingers seem a little too graceful/feminine to me; I don’t think fingers sway in the breeze that much, particularly on big muscle bound guys.

Thank you very much for the feedback as well! I def. agree the jiggle is too prominent (and not in the right areas either; will def. touch them up).

I was looking at the hands earlier and was wondering if they were too loose! Thanks for pointing that out! :stuck_out_tongue: Now I know my hunch was not completely “off.”

Thank you very much for the feedback!

man! this is awesome!
great character!

Thank you very much!
