Baking multiple subtools to 1x LP mesh

Hi everyone, how do I bake textures from multiple high-res polypainted mesh to a single low poly mesh ? What is the process ? I know it can be done through export + xnormal baking but I’d like to do it within zbrush to keep the polypaint and material for the final texture. Is that possible ? :confused:

kind of possible, but not really. you’ll have to subD your LP mesh, and project it onto the other meshes, fix any errors, then bake diffuse, then step back down, import orginal LP mesh, and do normal map baking.

you can maintain your polypaint inside of xnormal as well, just turn it on in the baking options…it’s at the bottom.

Thx, I didn’t know xnormal could do that, I’ll give it a try and then bake the material following the video tutorial from Joseph Drust.

Just out of curiosity, how do you bake the diffuse from multiple subtools to the low poly ?

just put multiple HP meshes into xNormal, it will bake them all down to the LP.
