Hi everybody, from time to time when I work on some project Zbrush stuns for a moment and then shuts down. I assume that I should change something in my hardware. Here are some of my pc specs: Procesor Core i5 (1151) Intel i5-6600K 3.50GHz 6MB, RAM DDR4 HyperX 16GB 3000MHz CL15 (2x8192). Zbrush is installed on HDD drive however I have the option to move it into SSD if necessary. What would You change in Your opinion to avoid crashes in the future? I would be glad for some help. Regards
Hello @Astroteles_Evetrials
If you are having technical issues with ZBrush, we would be happy to assist you at Pixologic Support. Technical support for ZBrush is not provided over the community Usage Questions forums, and the other users are unlikely to be able to help you with system specific technical problems.
Crashes can be caused by many different things. Occasional crashes are inevitable, and not necessarily the sign of any significant problem. Frequent crashes related to a specific file may indicate something problematic with the geometry in that file, or something about your process that is running into a bug or other technical issue. Frequent crashes when working with any file may indicate an issue with your installation, or installation environment ( conflicts with other hardware or software).
In all cases, you would need to contact Support for us to identify a possible problem.
As far as HDD vs SSD, SSD is highly recommended in the ZBrush System Specs.
Thank you!
