Evening ppl

So I took upon the challange to create a female character for my showreel.
I took some retrys but I finaly think I got the character to look “feminin” (first tries all ended up looking like drag queens :P)

So most time spend so far beside getting the some what right proportions have been trying to figure out the sss fast skin shader in Maya.

Comments, ideas, critic are ofcause very welcome!

Great looking character  love the costume detail.

seems a good start so far. Keep it up !

off to a really good start! excited to see the progression

wow, looking goos so far.

Lost for words …Man this is soooo Cool Great work so far.

Thank you all for the feedback! Always a joy knowing some people like what you do.

Update:

So I manage to block out all of the shapes I wanted and getting the basic outfit in place. The next step will be adding the sculpting detail in Zbrush - the fun part of my pipeline :stuck_out_tongue:

Let me know what you think works and what dosen’t in the outfit

love the sleeve idea around the wrists. Overall flow of the design is looking really solid. Proportion wise I think her pelvic area is relatively small, along with her head. Slight tweeks to those areas would improve her overall feel I think. Really cool start to this model, can’t wait to see its progression!

looking great, agree with above comment, think her waist is a little too narrow. really digging the shapes you’ve got going on her outfit.

Yeah, I like it! Great work!

I love girls
And she is a girl so = I love her too :laughing:small_orange_diamond:laughing:small_orange_diamond:laughing:

beautiful face…
keep it up…:+1:

You’ve done an outstanding job on this character. Poise, attitude, and design are all very well executed. Do you have futher plans for this character. At the very least she deserves a base and a turntable :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1:
Gary
PS your choice of method for the hair as strips with alphas turned out very well, at least from this view. I would be interested if it holds up if you put her on a turntable.

I LOVE IT. Can we see the wireframe?

Looks great! My only suggestion would be that since your character doesn’t have many colors I would suggest adding more color in your lights and maybe even add a focal point via lighting. I’m getting the feeling that you have a rim and a fill light but the key isn’t having much effect. You’ve got a lot of nice detail in your character. It’s just hard to see all that awesome stuff at first glance, bring it out more with your lighting!

love it!
great pose!

Beautiful work! I’d love to see more info about how you created her. Especially the ZBrush part.

Speaking of ZBrush, since as you said that’s the fun part of the project I’m curious why you don’t start with ZBrush as well? You could have the fun part from start to finish. ;)

…result!

Really a great finished model!!!
