Assign Brush Pallette to Bottom?

Im trying to wrap my head around this;
usually when watching tutorial videos from the pros, they have their brush pallete on the bottom of their screen so they dont need to always go into the brush pallete and select their bush. However, when I try dragging and droping the brush pallete towards the bottom, the box doesnt get highlighted, thus, making it impossible to drag and drop to the bottom.

Does anyone know how to do this? it will just make selecting the main brushes easier when sculptig since their right on the screen.

Or…i think i might be missing something here…

Are you sure you have Preferences > Custom UI > Enable Customize turned on when CTRL + click dragging interface items ?

There are two areas at the bottom of the interface where you can put UI items. One above the zscript output area and one below. If you have the zscript output area open (shortcut ‘H’) you might be trying to drag UI items there, which will not work.

Hey thanks for that link it really explained alot.

I figured it out, what I was trying to do was add the brush sub palette menu to the bottom shelf, which it doesn’t allow you to do. So I just added the individual brushes that I use most often to that bottom shelf.

And yes, I am a total newb, totally forgot to turn Enable Customize on when dragging and dropping the menu. Thanks for that!

Ahh you learn as you go…
