Asari from the game series mass effect, any advice?
Hey man, not a bad start. i think first is the proportions of the face need a little work. seems the eyes are way to high and the chin and nose are both very low and pointy. try lifting up the lip of the nose and softening out the shape. same with the chin.
Also some of the facial shapes are off, it seems you mad her face very slim but hers should be more filled out. you’ve made a good effort in defining the eyes however it seems you’ve chiselled them in a bit to much. try filling out the outer eyelid, it should almost blend completely into the eye brow. also the cheek and edge of mouth need filling out. otherwise it will look like shes tensing back her cheeks to much. With the ‘Hair’/tentacles, a great way to get the right shapes out be to use them as a guide, for example the lower ones have a nice line the flows down following the line of the cheek. give a few of those a go. will be good to see how she comes out. ah one last thing the jaw shape just needs adjusting slightly. keep it up
Thanks so much J.pears for the advice, I can tell from your work that its coming from someone who really knows what they’re doing!! So I changed it up in the ways that you said and I think its looking much better(?). Funny how I didn’t realise how odd it looked before until now Anyway any further tips would be appreciated (Her neck still looks kinda oddly symmetrical from the front but I’m gonna sort that later)
Textured now and quickly rendered in zbrush Would like to render properly but I don’t own photoshop/don’t really know how
Couple more renders, god I’m not very good at them XD oh well things can only improve (hopefully) Any advice is really appreciated!
looks allot better, however there are a few adjustments you still need to make. youve got a better shape on the nose and cheek, almost there with them, but it feels like the face as a whole needs to rotate down slightly as it seems very high set, the same with the tentacles they jut need moving down to create more of a slope . this will aslo help with adjusting the posture of the neck as at the moment it seems like shes pulling here neck back. so it jest needs slightly adjusting to make it look more natural and relax.
coming along well, keep at it.
