Artist of the Month nomination at Renderosity?

When did this happen? I’ve been nominated for December’s AOM at Renderosity. I’ve looked at the other nominees. Talk about prolific! Where do people find the time? Anyway, back from Thanksgiving vacation and I’ve got a lot of reading to do to catch up in this forum. Do any of you sleep?

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving (for those in the States  )!

Adman

I signed up just so I could vote! I love your stuff

Thanks Stacey!
That was very nice. Really, I just thought it was neat to be nominated among others who have done so much. Looks like a two person race between Ferguson and Lorraine.

cheers!

Some of those people ARE pretty prolific with their creations, but what’s THAT worth? Don’t get me wrong, there’re some pretty nice pics in there, mostly nice examples of using Poser and other people’s work…

I voted for you, Adman. I checked out all the nominees’ galleries, and yours by FAR displayed the most artistic creativity and absolute ABILITY to create something from your own mind. I noticed also your lack of credits to other people for the work THEY did to make yours possible, if only because you DID ALL YOUR OWN WORK! Bravo, Adman, Bravo!

Of the group nominated, you are certainly the most deserving of the title “Artist” of the month there. And the recognition Zbrush receives as a result is nice, too.

Congratulations, Adman! You deserve this totally, and your work is on its own level, which is all any artist can aspire to.

ha! that was no hard decision! your work rules, Adman, no doubt! i have to admit i did not know your :grimacing: poser/stratapro-renders… wow! a good occassion to have a look at Adman’s exquisite + :+1: :+1: :+1: to no end gallery and vote (12,3% only, right now  ), ZB’s!

Hey now Juandel! I voted for Adman (my hero) yesterday!

Adman you are the master of your application domain. I like the way you think. :+1:

Nikko, I guess I’m just envious of those who have 100 pieces done - good or bad. It means they’re stretching their muscles. I see a lot of that on this forum and I applaud all of you for that. Sort of like finding the time to exercise or floss your teeth. But I appreciate your sentiments.

Too often, I create only for the “fix.” To show my work. To hear what people like you think. Instead of exercising and stretching my creative muscles for the sake of improvement. Which is why I enjoy this forum (as quiet as I may be). People here put in a hard “workout,” constantly seeking to improve. You’re all an inspiration and a kick in my butt.

Oh yeah, money’s also a pretty good motivator.

Stonecutter, thanks man

juandel and Kathy - a couple of stars! It’ll be 20 years before I have 1,000 posts. To the Strata StudioPro reference (off topic), I’ve been playing with using ZBrush with StudioPro. Seems I have to export a tool as an obj from ZBrush, import it into Poser, then export it to a 3ds file, and change the file resource to a text file, before I can import it into StudioPro. The export from ZBrush contains something that StudioPro doesn’t like. But it works after I “scrub” it with Poser. Hmmm…

Thanks again!

adman, a well-deserved nomination, and evidently one of many to come if you don’t win this one.

one more vote for adman! you are at 10% currently. a tiny fraction of this is mine =D
