Armor Details and embroidery

Hi guys. Can someone point me to the right direction how to create the fine armor details so it will be easier to render them afterwards. I have sculpted some details on my armor but i have difficulty in selecting those details and making them a separate material from the rest of the armor.

I have shown a screenshot of what I’m trying to achieve. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the link. What I understand from his tutorial is to first create UVs of the mesh, then paint in black and white the armor details in PS using the UVs as guide, save the texture and use it in Zbrush as alpha map. I am kind of a bit lost if he manually painted the gold color by hand as it looks very clean
