Is there a specific way to assign a different material to every other subtool? I tried following different tutorials on youtube, but no success. Material kept applying to all the subtools, despite following instructions.
I know this must be simple to do, but I keep struggling to do so.
Select Subtool, choose material and color, go to “Color” menu and click the “FillObject” button. Move to the next Subtool and repeat.
When you apply material/color to a Subtool, it will appear that the material/color has been applied to ALL Subtools, but really, it has only been applied to the one Subtool you have selected. When you move to the next Subtool and apply a different material/color, you will see what I mean.

The SubTool Master plugin has a Fill option which can be used to fill the visible subtools with the same material (and/or color).
