Anyone running Zbrush with an AMD Threadripper?

i’m trying to replace my 5+ 12 months antique laptop so that it maximizes Zbrush performance, mainly sculpting collectible figurines for 3-d printing. i’m quite taken via the AMD Threadripper 2950X or older 1950X and trying to upload a Samsung 970 seasoned M.2 NVMe SSD 1TB pressure for splendid speedy file get admission to considering Zbrush does plenty with brief, quicksave and other files. Aiming for no less than 32GB ram. i’ve positioned aside computer gaming for a PS4 seasoned so I assume i will cannibalize my Nvidia GTX 970. no longer trying to change my 4K screen, keyboard, Wacom pill and many others and feature loads of USB3 harddisks so the construct is purely for grunt. Zbrush is a interest for me so i’m aiming for this build to ultimate five+ years.

anybody using a computer with the sort of processors? Are you satisfied with it? Any should have items I ought to don’t forget (no longer always laptop construct)? for instance i am unsure about air or liquid cooling (specifically for noise), form of case, and quantity of reminiscence. I know this isn’t artsy stuff however i’m simply looking to see if there are any gotchas earlier than I spend the cash.

ive got a 1950x, 64 gb’s of ram. pretty happy with it.

i also have a 970 evo, haven’t really done any tests with the quicksave time. but i know that for both nvme and regular ssd the start up time is roughly the same (confirmed by 2 other friends).

(i was planning on making a performance video for the 1950x, on my youtube channel, since we cant do the native multithread benchmark anymore. is this something you would be interested in?)
