Like the question asks… I’d like to be able to save out the brushes that I used the most. The ones that appear in the Quick Pick box. I tried Save As and Load, but that doesn’t work. Only time I’ve noticed it happen is when I loaded up a Quick Save, but quitting ZBrush and reloading the Quick Save gets rid of them again. Is this possible at all?
Save and Load in the brush menu are for saving out customized brushes.
If there are some default brushes that you use more often than any others, consider adding them to a custom UI, or a custom Menu. It is not uncommon for experienced users to have one or more custom UIs designed around doing specific types of work in Zbrush.
Lightbox can be used to store custom brushes for quick recall.
*Note that a customized brush will not load with a customized UI until manually loaded into the session unless it is added to the ZBrush startup items. I generally don’t recommend new users do this until such a point where they have enough experience to make better decisions about when to do it. It’s not something you want to go crazy with, as altering the Zbrush startup items comes with performance concerns. If it’s not something you will use every session, stick with Lightbox.
