Any of you into web design?

If so have a look at Swish. Swish can take your image from Zbrush and then build it into a ‘flash’ file or swf.

I haven’t done this yet (with zbrush) but I have done this with images created in Photoshop. For examples see www.swishportal.com To downlaod a demo of Swish see www.swishzone.com

Maybe there is an opportunity for us to swap our knowledge, skills and experience to the benefit of all. All of the interfaces, menus and so on can be downloaded from my swishportal site in the Swish format .swi

I hope this of use.

Hi Almark,

You have some nice work there. Very subtle. I have used SWISH and I use flash every now and again. Do you do it for a living?

S

Glen,

I am medically retired. I ‘do’ web design for a bit of fun, learning, and of course some pocket money!

I started using Flash, then I found Swish. I find that I can do almost everything I want to do in Swish. (Of course I am biased!, I am a moderator on the flashkit ‘Swish’ community. See http://board.flashkit.com/board/forumdisplay.php?forumid=17 )

(I am also a mod on the Flax forum http://board.flashkit.com/board/forumdisplay.php?forumid=39 Flax is a text effects generator.) It can produce great text effects and is similar to Wildform SWFX, which also has a forum at http://board.flashkit.com/board/forumdisplay.php?forumid=31

However; Flax and Wildform merely produce text effects, whereas Swish is (basically) a cut down and very, very easy to use approach to producing ‘Flash’ effects.

I was so impressed with Swish that I started up my own domain www.swishportal.com to help new users of swish with examples and source code.

So if you use Swish have a look at my examples, all are available for download. and are set upo so that a new user can easily take them apart and put them together again!

If only someone would do the same for ZBrush! (Oops maybe they have!, if so I apologise up front! )

Another thought.

I have tried to create depth with my photoshop images that i use as the main intro. ( www.almark.net )

I realise now that ‘depth’ in photoshop is an illusion.

“ZBrush is so deep that I am afraid of falling into it!”

I have read over some of the manuals, but as a new user I feel that it will probably take me ages to get to grips with it.

I miss the ‘right click’ - explainations and so on…

Swish is pretty useful software but isn’t enough to prefer it over paid analogs. Especially if you earn a living by doing web design. I would say it’s good for getting acquainted with web design basics. Or for low-demanding personal projects. Honestly, it’s much easier to use web design services than doing everything by yourself. It requires not only design skills but also knowledge in the software part. But that’s just my personal opinion. I’m sure there are guys who love doing everything by themselves. Anyway, I would better opt for something more complex than Swish.

I would like to know more about it. Though I have a little bit of experience with website design and development. Besides, I can easily develop other designs too.

I would like to update you again here. I want to design mickey mouse SVG. I’m going to do it for the first time. I would like to follow MasterBundles in order to get a solid idea. What do you think? This could be helpful for me?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been bitten by the web design bug and I can’t get enough! Are any of you into web design too? It’s such an exciting field where creativity meets technology. I’ve been experimenting with different design frameworks and exploring the latest trends to create visually stunning websites.

One of my recent discoveries is the power of responsive design. It’s incredible how a website can adapt seamlessly to various screen sizes, providing an optimal user experience on desktops, tablets, and smartphones. It’s like magic!

I’ve also been diving into user experience (UX) design, understanding how people interact with websites and ensuring a smooth and intuitive journey. The ability to create websites that not only look great but also provide a delightful user experience is something that truly fascinates me.

Another aspect of web design that has captured my attention is the use of animations and microinteractions. These small details can breathe life into a website, engaging visitors and adding that extra layer of interactivity. It’s all about creating a memorable and immersive experience for the users.
