And it does not accept an activation code I received during the original activation procedure. The computer is absolutely the same. It came after I tried to set up Goz with 3dsmax 2008.

Activation codes are single-use codes. They can never be used again.
Choose Web Activation. This will use your serial number and create a new activation code. You’ll probably get a message that “ZBrush has already been activated on this machine.” In that case, click the button to request a copy of the activation key, which will create a new code for you without deducting another activation from your account.
