Answered: visible Masking to all subtools

HI ,

is there a way to see all subtools with mask ? not just selected
for example each subtools has a mask but only selected is visible i want to see all my subtools with masking

There isn’t a feature for that at this time. SubTools serve partly as an organizational feature and partly as a performance feature. Only the selected SubTool keeps full data (including masking) in immediately memory. This allows ZBrush to focus more of your system resources on that SubTool. When you switch SubTools, ZBrush then loads the full data for the new one and offloads all but the most necessary data for the old one.

One thing that occurred to me is that you could use a layer on your model and convert the mask to polypaint. It would then be visible even when the SubTool is not selected. You can always hide or delete the layer when you don’t want to see the representation of the mask.
