Answered: Plugin Problems!!

Hi people,

I am having a problem loading a plugin, specifically UV Master, into my copy of ZBrush. I downloaded the UV Master files from the download center, and installed them EXACTLY as the instructions said to do. I placed the plugin file and it’s data folder into my Zplugs folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Pixologic\ZBrush 4R2\ZStartup\ZPlugs), but it still will not load when I open the application!
I have been racking my brain trying to figure out if I did anything wrong, but I haven’t come up with anything. I even downloaded and installed another plugin just to see if I was doing it right. The other plugin worked, but for some reason my ZBrush just doesn’t like UV Master!
I’m just wondering if anyone knows of anything that would block my plugin from showing up, or can think of anything I may have missed when installing?? Your help is greatly appreciated!

You probably installed a version of UV Master that’s not compatible with your version of ZBrush.

UV Master (along with all other official plugins compatible with 4R4) is installed automatically as part of ZBrush 4R4 unless you specifically declined to have it installed when doing a Custom Installation. The version that is installed is compatible with 4R4.

Since 4R4 is a free upgrade for all licensed users, there’s no reason that you should have had to install it manually. If you haven’t upgraded yet, please do so now. You can get it here: https://www.pixologic.com/zbrush/downloadcenter/instructions/
